- Read on Herzberg Theory eg. Two factor theory and cross cultural job satisfaction studies
- Read achievement motivation theory
- Read selected process theory eg. Equity,goal setting and expectancy theory
- Read and understand motivation applied eg. Job design, work centrality and rewards. You must be able to use examples of several countries

- Read basic concepts of leadership eg. Definition
- Read theory x, y and z
- Read transformational, transactional and charismatic leadership

- Read sources of HRs
- Read home, host and third country nationals
